Nintendo 3DS Conference Announces Some Games

And boy howdy is it anticlimactic!

Nintendo had a special conference mostly for the 3DS today. To start, however, they showed The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for the Wii and announced that it will be released in November 28th in Japan (btw, obviously no US dates were announced as this was a Japanese press conference).

To combat the mostly male-dominated 3DS audience, Nintendo will be releasing a pink version of the console. Additionally, there will be not only the recently-revealed Monster Hunter Tri-G, but also 4 will be on the 3DS. No showing of the analog pad add-on, however.

As for other game announcements, Square Enix shows off the beautiful, but unfortunately-titled Bravely Default Flying Fairy as well as a new Dragon Quest: Rocket Slime 3. On Nintendo’s side, they unveiled new Mario Tennis, Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem games. Finally, the following titles that probably will never come to America were announced: Culdacept, Fatal Frame, SD Gundam G Generation 3DAce Combat 3D Cross RumbleNew Love Plus, Dynasty Warriors Vs., and my personal favorite: Project Mirai featuring Hatsune Miku.

Other important release dates announced include Mario Kart 7 for December 1st, Luigi’s Mansion 2 for a general 2012, and Kid Icarus for sometime in the first quarter of 2012.

Overall, not too many surprising announcements, or at least ones that would interest many outside of Japan. Still, it’s always good to nail down more concrete information, especially with Zelda: Skyward Sword. Oh, and for some reason, Gatchaman was there.
