Crysis 2 Disappears From Steam

Will show up again when out of energy.

Noticeably absent from the store on Steam, Crysis 2 seems to no longer be available for purchase. While it is, of course, on EA’s Origin download platform, it is also available on Direct2Drive. This seems to be specifically targeted at just Steam for the moment.

If you had purchased the Steam version of Crysis 2, it should still be in your library and available for download. However, users are reporting that multiplayer is disabled for their version.

There could be two reasons for this. Either EA is wanting to eliminate its most recent game from Steam, or it preparing a new version of Crysis 2 to sell on it. Only time will tell what it really means, but for right now it’s bad news for consumers on Steam.
