Riding a Fake Boat, In a Semi-less Fake Boat. RADICAL!

So is this where video games are going? Riding a virtual boat, while standing in a boat toy? Ah, the future.

I fear that I might use so many quotation marks in this story, the keys will break. Atomic Accessories, who’s sole purpose seems to be to ruin the imaginations of children everywhere, has recently reviled a new mind numbing “peripheral” for controller-less games, such as the upcoming Kinect Adventures. The accessory, lovingly called “Game Boat”, is simply that, a blow up boat, the you can “game” in. Said by the company to be the “de facto…accessory for the peripheral which doesn’t need any”, double negatives aside, you stand in it while playing games that feature boats and/or water. It can hold 2 mindless husks during use, fitting neatly in front of the TV in a stark white room with no windows or furniture. It’s like you’re really in the game! Here is the entire product descriptions, not really for information purposes, but for entertainment ones. Is there a version of Engrish for Italians? Because apparently, there should be.

“Game Boat™ is de facto the first accessory for the peripheral which doesn’t need any. The first product in the Play On™ line-up brings the entertainment of Kinect Adventures™ game out of the tv set, directly in your living room! Game it Real™ ! With this real-size replica of Kinect Adventures™’s awesome dinghy . Size: 150 x 150 cm. Ideal to comfortably play in 2 gamers simultaneously, still without being clumsy in the living room. Easily inflated in a few minutes through the practical pump (included). Game Boat™ can also be used in the watyr, at the sea or at the pool, by children and adults.”

If only The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker was released on the Wii, then they could have sold a “special” version of it, engineered for sitting instead of standing.

About Addison

Addison is a bit of a jerk. His favorite game is The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. This is really all there is to him. Very hollow, very boring.
